Not surprising to be honest. Although a promising concept, it would have been hard for them to compete with big Helmet brands on safety and comfort features, while the tech stuff, though nice, was only guaranteed for (I think) one year! I even remember reading that the battery was good for only 2 years and could only be changed at the factory.
That's just not good enough if the asking price is $1,500.

It's just a whole lot more info to process though. It's bad enough with my GS ... the bike monitors everything that can be detected (and that's shit loads ... as it's a gps data logger) and can display it on the sat nav screen in multiple 16 grid matrices ... way too much data ... but curiously enticing.

Brothers that Founded the company used it as their personal piggy bank. Anyone that has a deposit for a helmet is basically SOL.

Not my words, was in the comments section of this article "15 million buys a lot of hookers and cocaine..." When there's little to no accountability, as is often the case with crowd funding, temptation can not be conatined. Such a good idea too...
